Hey there, fellow OCD warriors! I’ve been walking this OCD path for a while and am at a crossroads. I’ve heard whispers about alternative therapies that have worked wonders for some, and I’m itching to dive deeper into this uncharted territory. I’m on a quest for the offbeat, the unconventional, and the unexpected solutions. Have you stumbled upon unique and effective ways to wrangle those OCD demons? I’m ready to embrace the unorthodox and am all ears for your stories and suggestions. How did you stumble upon these unconventional approaches, and what kind of magic have they brought into your OCD journey?
It generally depends on your ocd type, but I strongly believe switching to a carnivore diet helps with all anxiety disorders. I personally find eating only meat quite difficult, so I add low-carb vegetables like peppers, carrots, cabbage, etc.
Spending time with therapy animals, such as dogs or horses, has been shown to reduce anxiety and stress in people with OCD. That’s because the companionship and unconditional love from animals can be therapeutic. I’ve tried it and love doing it from time to time.
