Existential questions

I wonder how they are allowed to do that since some medications can give awful side effects and not help with the main problem in the first place. :frowning:

Typically, they should discuss the potential side effects with you and help you decide whether medication is the right course of action. However, they often omit that…

That’s my impression also. Next time, I will specifically ask and maybe read the whole medication leaflet before ingesting anything in my system.

It’s a good idea to do that even though most of the ocd medication is not as invasive as some antibiotics. Having said that, I also don’t want to be a guinea pig until I find some which is somewhat right for me.

I’ve heard about some personalized treatment options where they do a lot of tests and scans and then determine what should be taken, if anything at all. So we should hope for a better future in that direction.
