How did Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) help you in your recovery journey?

ACT is an essential part of the recovery journey. It helps you to accept your OCD, anxiety, and worries rather than doing compulsions.

ACT has helped me see things from a different perspective which has been very helpful.
I have more control over my thoughts now.

I have learned to slow down, notice my thoughts, accept them without judgment and let them go instead of letting them control me.

It helped me a lot, and it can be what helpt me take back control and back to living again :slight_smile:

Yea, without acceptance recover may never become reality.


I am a totally new person because of ACT. I know that different therapies and medications work best for any individual case but I really wish more people try ACT as their first method for healing.
